Photo: My favourite part of the night? Making up a Poptart crumble! Yum! 󾌫

So I may actually be tooting my own horn here because this is actually a pin of my own making, but I'm kind of proud of it.

The other day I took a package of Pop-Tarts to work for lunch but never actually ate them.  However, in the process, they got completely crushed up and it was pointless to eat them conventionally.  That's when this idea came to my head and I must say they are pretty tasty!  Here's how I went about this:

Crumble:
1 package raspberry Pop-Tarts
1/2 c. oats
1/4 c. loose brown sugar

Filling:
1 c. raspberries
1/4 c. blueberries
2 T. sugar
1/4 c. water
3 T. balsamic vinegar
2 leaves fresh mint

It's quite simple.  I just combined the crumble in a bowl and put all the filling ingredients, except vinegar and mint, in a pot over medium-low heat.  After the raspberries dissolve add the mint and vinegar and place the mixture in a couple of ramekins and cover it with crumble.  Bake for 10 minutes at 350 or until lightly browned.  You may have a bit of crumble left over, but I just heated it up with the ramekins and ate it on the side.

See?  Simple.  Enjoy!

Tie a Bowtie

There are a lot of videos and posts out there to show how to tie a bowtie.  Personally I'm still kind of a newbie to the world of bowties and currently only own one tie that isn't clip-on, and so I need a lot of help to know how to sport a real one.  I tried several pins and YouTube videos to help me figure out how to do it but most of them left me very confused.  I could get to step three or four and then I was lost.

That is until I found this pin.  This makes a lot more sense than most so if you're looking to tie one on for the first time this is the one I recommend.
